We will be visiting the first week in October and I see that the Food and Wine Festival will be going on at Epcot. Is there a seperate ticket for entrance? What can I expect for food and activities? Will I be able to use my Dining Plan?

    Hi Carrie,

The Epcot Food and Wine Festival is a FABULOUS event. I gain five pounds every time I think about it.  Entrance to the Festival is included with your regular park admission.

The F&W Festival involves seminars, classes, and lectures about, you guessed it, Food and Wine. Some of the events have an additional fee or require reservations, but others are completely free.

My favorite part of the F&W festival is the extra food booths set up in the World Showcase. About 20+ extra countries and regions come to show off the best of their food. They sell small tasting dishes representing their country. Many of these items are available for a Dining Plan snack credit, so be sure to save these for your Festival days.

The exact 2012 schedule of events has not yet been released. The overall best resource for information about previous Festivals is the independent website DisneyFoodBlog.com. They have loads of Festival coverage and even an entire ebook about the event.

    Happy eating!
