We will be visiting for the first time this November - the week before Thanksgiving. Can you give us a guess on the weather? Will we be able to visit the beach and make use of the pools? We are staying at the Grand Floridian. Thanks!

    Hi Diana,

Thanksgiving is a beautiful time to visit Disney World. You will be able to enjoy a number of the special holiday decorations and events that are just starting up and prior to Thanksgiving week, the crowds are typically manageable. The weather is usually still quite pleasant but without the summer humidity and storms. The average high is around seventy nine degrees and the lows are usually in the mid to low fifties.

We have visited a number of times during this same period and I can only recall one year where we stayed in sweatshirts and jeans and did not swim. The pools are heated and most guests are quite comfortable still using the pools and waterparks at this time of the year. I think you will find a number of days during your stay, where the pool will be a perfect afternoon hangout.

Wishing you sunny warm days and a great time!
