Hi Penny, The Disney rental strollers are hard plastic and do not come with any padding or cushions. It sounds like you would be better served by a rental from an independent agency. Try looking at orlandostrollerrentals.com. They deliver and pickup strollers right to your resort. They are usually less expensive than the Disney rentals and the strollers themselves are more modern and plush than the in-park rentals.
