While visiting DW during fourth of July week, we plan to watch the MK fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian or the Grand Floridian - what time should we arive at the beach and how do we access the beach?

    Hi Tia!

My family and I just adore Disney's Polynesian Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.  With great themeing, dining options and magnificent views of Magic Kingdom, it is no surprise that the Poly and GF are two of the most popular resorts on Disney property!

Guests are welcome to enjoy views of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from the beaches at GF and Poly.  Keep in mind that in previous years, especially on holidays and or high capacity days, guests were asked to show their resort ID's in order to enjoy the beach area.  Also, there is a guest limit, due to fire and safety regulations, and they are quite strict in adhering to this.  My best recommendation is for you to make a dinner reservation at one of the Poly/GF restaurants, and then head to the beach post dinner and enjoy the festivities.  You can head to the beaches 15-30 prior to start of Wishes, but it may be standing room only.

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation!

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
