Hello - we’ll be visiting our DVC friends at the GF, but we’re staying off property. Will we need to pay for parking when we visit them at the GF?

    Hi Steven,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I think the next best thing to staying on property, is to visit friends at the Resort hotels, and The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is one of the best!

When you arrive at the Resort, let the Cast Member at the gate know you are visiting your friends. They will then direct you to where you can park. Self-parking is complimentary, but if you use Valet Services, you will be charged a fee. If you leave the Resort and head to the Theme Parks, standard parking rates apply.

While you are at the Resort, I would highly suggest indulging in a meal at Narcoossee’s. The Surf & Turf is fabulous, and the Maine Lobster Bisque is some of the best I’ve ever had! If you make a late dinner reservation with your friends, you all will have a fantastic view of Happily Ever After, Magic Kingdom Park’s spectacular fireworks show. There is a dress code at the restaurant, so make sure that you look as spiffy as Mickey Mouse in his birthday attire!

No worries if you don’t nab a reservation, the Resort has plenty of other excellent fireworks viewing spots. Last winter, my friends watched Happily Ever After from the hotel’s marina, and said the view was perfect!

Steven, if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. I hope you have a fabulous visit with your friends.
