Hi, we are visiting during Christmas and New year this year for the first time (we’d usually visit summer months) and we’d love a recommendation for Christmas Day dinner. It needs to be accessible to Wilderness lodge and child friendly. Thanks

Cheers, Mary, and Happy Halfway to the Holidays!

We tend to spend every other Christmas on one of Disney's properties, so I had to grab your question! You are staying at probably my favorite resort for the holiday season. Minnie decorates the lodge to the hilt, and the vibe is a magical, cozy holiday.

One of the best things about visiting the World during the holiday season is that everywhere is catered to making Christmas magical for the littles. Let's put together a list of where I think would be most magical for bigs and kids alike!

EPCOT - This park is our go-to for delicious food. We've had a fantastic dressy Christmas Eve dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse, and a more casual Christmas lunch at San Angel Inn. If you want a classic Christmas dinner where you can dress up for pictures, head to Le Cellier. If you're going to have a park day and then enjoy dinner inside a Mayan temple (and next to a hidden gem of a ride!), I'd pick San Angel Inn. If you decide not to do a sit-down meal, the Holiday Kitchens are so fantastic that we've eaten around the World during the last two Christmases!

❆ Disney Springs - Make a reservation at Paddlefish for surf and turf. Their ribeye is one of the best I've ever had. We had Easter dinner at Jaleo, and loved the tapas meal and our foosball table! Finally, Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' has delicious Southern comfort food, which sounds perfect for a cozy Christmas meal. One of the best things about Disney Springs is that you can take a magical Christmas Tree Stroll after dinner, which is my favorite thing to do at the resort during the holidays.

❆ Your Resort! - Since you want convenience, the best place to eat is where you stay! I absolutely love Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue for entertainment and delicious food. Whispering Canyon Cafe has the best views of Wilderness Lodge's gorgeous holiday decor and offers a special holiday meal. Afterwards, you can take a Holiday Sleigh Ride around the campground for the perfect cap to your Christmas Day!

If you have any other questions, you know where to find us. Cheers to a Very Merry Christmas!
