We will be visiting DisneyWorld for the first time in Sept. I really want to stay at the Beach Club but it is a little out of our price range. We could afford to spend 5 nights at a moderate and then 2 nights at the beach club. Would you recommend this?

Many people change resorts in mid-trip. I think just about everyone on the Panel has done this at one time or another, and some of us do it on almost every vacation. There are many reasons that people switch resorts: because there was no availability at a particular hotel, because of budgetary factors, or just because they want to experience the amenities that the different hotels have to offer.

You can check out of your first hotel in the morning and give your luggage to the bell services desk. They will store it in a safe location for you until the afternoon. Then they will bring it for you to your second hotel.

I think you have the plan right too when you suggest staying in the moderate resort first and then the deluxe. It's always nicer to leave your trip on the up note that a deluxe stay will provide. As for your hotel choices, my favorite moderate is Port Orleans French Quarter, but many of the others are nice as well. And the Beach Club is my family's all-time favorite hotel. We've stayed there at least eight times and have never been disappointed.

Hope you have a great trip!
