Christine,
Planning for 2023? That is some planDisney level planning.
Color me impressed! As the parent of an aspiring veterinarian, the animal experiences at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park are high on our list of things to do. You can book these experiences 60 days in advance, via the Walt Disney World website. So, you have some time to plan.
There are so many to do, but here are the ones that I recommend. Please note that some have age and mobility restrictions, so check them out ahead of time to pick the one that is right for your family.
Caring for GiantsAre elephants high on your grandson's list of animals to see up close? This 60-minute experience is his go-to adventure.
Up Close with RhinosThis is another hour-long experience, similar to the Caring for Giants tour, but featuring our horned friends. In both experiences you get to see the animals up close, as well as interact with knowledgeable guides.
Wild Africa TrekThis is a longer experience, taking 3-hours but covering many amazing animal experiences and including a lunch on the savanna. It is, by far, the feature event if you can afford the time.
Starlight Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom LodgeThis is not at the theme park but at the nearby resort hotel and is a great nighttime alternative to those daytime tours at the park. The provided night-vision goggles make for a unique and truly memorable experience!
I would recommend you review these options and put a reminder in your calendar 60-days out from your arrival date so you can book your adventure when the reservation window opens.
Please feel free to write us back if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!Doug
