Visiting Disneyland/Cali Adventure, first visit ever! We plan to spend 2 days in each park. Is that sufficient time to have a chance to ride each attraction and take in the scenery of the parks? Will be getting genie+. Do you have itineraries?

Hi Tammy! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

You are going to have the best time! I'm so excited for you. I fondly remember my first visit to Disneyland Resort with my husband. We were visiting family and had the best time together enjoying all the parks have to offer. We've been coming back over and over ever since. And you'll be visiting during one of the most festive times of the year, which will make it extra special.

I think your plan to spend two days in each park is great. I can't guarantee that you'll experience every single Attraction, but you should be able to fit most of them in the length of your visit. It will depend on the amount of time you dedicate to Entertainment, Parades, Fireworks, and dining, and the number of Guests in the park each day, however, which is hard to predict. Take a look at the Daily Events Schedule to get an idea of when your must-do Activities will take place during your visit. You can adjust the date at the top of the schedule as your visit approaches. Schedules are subject to change, but this will give you a good idea of the shape your day will take as you build around Activities.

I definitely recommend Disney's Genie+ Service. My family always selects this option, so we can spend less time waiting in queues and more time focused on the fun. Since your goal is to enjoy as many Attractions as possible, I think this is a good addition. If you don't select it at the time you purchase your admission tickets, you can also purchase it each park day, depending on availability. The price varies by day, however, when you don't purchase in advance. I typically purchase on the day of my park visit, and it's an easy transaction on the Disneyland mobile app. You should see the Genie+ purchase button toward the top of the homepage of the app. You can add it to your ticket after scanning into the park for the day.

As far as itineraries, rather than tie yourself down to a plan, which might be difficult to achieve during your park day, I suggest you use Genie+ Lightning Lane return time availability to guide your day. We often book a return time and then visit Attractions nearby that have shorter wait times or don't feature Lightning Lane Entrances before and after a return time window.

    I hope this helps!
