Hi! We are visiting Disneyland Resort this month mainly to see Rogers the Musical. We are planning to do the premium package (as we have a huge fan in our party.) Tips for getting the package and best seats? Thanks! Heidi

Hello there, Heidi! Are you ready to Save The City?! Then here... we... GO!

Welcome back to planDisney and we're happy to see you again! My daughter is also a huge Marvel fan and we recently made a trip to the Disneyland Resort specifically to experience the Premium Viewing Package for Rogers: The Musical. I'd be happy to relay my tips and what we learned on that visit!

The Premium Viewing Package is the ultimate way to experience Rogers: The Musical! Availability is limited, so it is recommended that you purchase your tickets as early as possible. Here is how we got our seats:

    1. Make Rope Drop. If you are a guest of one of the official Disneyland Resort Hotels, take advantage of Early Entry. Otherwise, try to be at the front gates of Disney California Adventure by 7:30 a.m. since the Park opens at 8 a.m. on your arrival date.
    2. Guests will be allowed into the Park approximately 15 minutes before opening. Walk over to Hollywood Land and line up on the left side in front of the rope by Mickey's PhilharMagic. Pay particular attention to the Cast Members who are directing guests who are interested in seeing Rogers: The Musical.
    3. When the Park opens, guests will be walked into the Hollywood Backlot Stage area, where a line will form near the Hollywood Lounge. All party members must be present in order to purchase your tickets. You'll pick a showtime, then pick up your wristband and lanyard!
    4. Up to 90 minutes before your showtime, you may return to check in for your performance. There is a lounge area for you to rest before the show. You'll pick up your soft drink, a souvenir popcorn bucket with kettle corn, and have a chance for a photo op! There are also games to play, a merchandise cart and shaded seating is available.
    5. You'll be led into an empty theater before showtime and you can sit wherever you please! I would recommend a central seat in the Orchestra section somewhat towards the front but not directly below the stage.

If you are a guest of one of the Disneyland Hotels, you'll be able to purchase your tickets during Early Entry. And if you aren't able to make Rope Drop, I would recommend making your way to the Hollywood Lounge area as soon as you are able once you enter the Park.

I'm super excited for you to be seeing the musical in its final weeks! You'll leave the theater humming "Save The City" and don't forget to take advantage of the Disney PhotoPass Magic Shot right in front of the theater! The cast definitely puts on a memorable performance and I'm so glad that they added this to the Disney100 Celebration.

Heidi, I hope that was helpful for you as you plan your trip. Please reach out to us again if there is more you need because you'll always be welcome at planDisney and we could do this all day!!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
