We are visiting Disneyland for the first time and are hoping to do the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. I recently had knee replacement surgery and am wondering how intensive the walking will be. Is it easy walking or "power" walking? Thank you!

    Hi Mary,

First trips to The Happiest Place on Earth are so magical! I remember taking my husband to the Disneyland Resort for his first trip - it’s the best! You will make memories that will last a lifetime.

You’re coming to Walt’s original theme park - so that in itself is magical. I’m so glad to hEAR you are taking the time to book the "Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps" Guided Tour. I hope you are healing well from your surgery, the Disneyland Resort does offer wheelchair rentals, more information can be found here if you find this may make your vacation easier on you.

Be sure to stop by City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park or at Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park to get your family their free ‘First Visit’ buttons to wear during your vacation; Cast Members that see you all in the parks will be sure to send welcome wishes all day.

As far as the "Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps" Guided Tour, this is a 3 hour tour. It’s a walking tour at a leisurely pace (no runDisney personal record times needed), as there is no rushing. During your tour you will even experience a couple classic attraction experiences. After you experience the tour, Guests of the "Walk in Walt's Disneyland Footsteps" Guided Tour will enjoy a dining experience.

I hope this is helpful. Please write us back if you have any more questions before your trip to The Happiest Place on Earth.

Wishing you a magical time on your FIRST VISIT to the Disneyland Resort!
