Hello! We are going to be visiting Disneyland in early October and I wasn't sure what the best apps are to help figure out wait times, where to visit characters, etc. This is the first time I'm visiting the park and had an smart phone!

    Hello Kim,

Thank you for writing us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Disney days are the best days!

I'm delighted to hEAR that your family will be visiting the Disneyland Resort for the first time in October. Having an app on your mobile device can be very useful when visiting the Disneyland Resort; most apps will provide park maps, attraction wait times, and dining locations. My family likes to download an app before a trip to utilize the attraction wait time feature. Different apps will be available depending on what type of mobile device you use. In your App Store, if you put in the search button: "Disneyland Resort" you will have multiple apps to choose from.

    Here are some I found:

Disneyland Lines from TouringPlans.com by TouringPlans.com
    Disneyland Maps by VersaEdge
    Disneyland Wait Times by VersaEdge
    Disneyland MouseWait Social by app316.com
Disneyland Wait Times - WalkeeWait by MediaLAB

Be sure to stop by Guest Services to get your free "First Visit" buttons for your family to wear during your trip. Cast Members that see your buttons will send you all warm wishes throughout the day.

I also suggest booking the Welcome to Disneyland Tour. It is a wonderful tour that will give you tips and tricks; great for a first timer to the Disneyland Resort.

I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, please visit me here and let me know how I can help you plan your magical vacation.

Wishing y'all a Fiddler, Fifer, and Practical time!
