We'll be visiting Disney World for Thanksgiving and my son's 9th birthday is the day after. Can you suggest somewhere for thanksgiving dinner and where we could do a character dinner on his b-day? This is his first Disney visit too!!

Hi, Shannon!  Many of the Walt Disney World restaurants will have some version of Thanksgiving dinner, and it's best if you make a reservation as soon as you can!  The restaurants tend to book up very quickly, especially around a holiday.

We like Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge on Thanksgiving Day.  The Lodge itself just feels very homey to us, and the meal here has never been a disappointment.  Another great location is Liberty Tree Tavern.  The family style meal here is a crowd pleaser with my gang every time.

As for character meals, Chef Mickey's is one of my family's favorite.  The buffet has something for everyone, and the character interaction is terrific.  If your son is more of a Winnie the Pooh fan, you could do Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom.  This is another very popular spot with my kids.

I hope you have a very happy Thanksgiving, and I wish your son an absolutely magical birthday!
