Hi Sarah,
You're going to be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort NEXT MONTH! Are you practically BURSTING with excitement and anticipation?! With so many great special events happening like
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, plus the opportunity to experience the brand new
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, you'll be visiting at a GREAT time of year!
I'm happy to let you know that there's currently nothing in the
official rules that prohibits the use of hydration backpacks, and I think they're a wonderful way to make sure you stay well-hydrated during your visit. You'll just need to make sure that your hydration backpack meets the size requirements for any bag, so it can't be larger than 24" x 15" x 18", and it also may not contain any alcohol. Hydration backpacks can be a great bag to carry around all day. They're so comfortable you forget they're there, plus their little pockets are great places to store your photo ID, sunglasses, sunscreen, and any other small personal items you may need. You'll be able to take your bag with you on all of the
attractions, too, and keep it either at your feet or in a special compartment designed for any bags or purses. When I'm on a more thrilling attraction like
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, I like to wrap one of the shoulder straps around my leg to make sure it doesn't fall out during the ride.
Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sarah, and please come see us again if you have any other questions as you're thinking through your packing list or any other details of your upcoming trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
