We are visiting Disney world in fl from oct 10th to the 17th. are there still character dining events then? i was looking at them online and they wont let me do anything after sept 1st. we are going for my daughter's 6th birthday.

Hi, Carrie!  You are probably not able to see online booking for your October vacation because the advanced dining reservation system can only be booked 180 days in advance.  The schedule will open up as you get into your booking window.

Currently, there are quite a few character dining experiences!  Although there are no guarantees as to what might be available, Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary is quite popular, and usually one of the first character experiences to fill up.  The meals at Cinderella's Royal Table are extremely popular as well, so if you are hoping to dine in the Castle, you'll want to book that as soon as your booking window opens.

Other excellent character meals include the Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends at the Magic Kingdom, and the 'Ohana character breakfast at the Polynesian resort, which currently features Lilo and Stitch.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
