We'll be visiting Disney World next month and my wife is planning to rent an ECV in the parks. If we park-hop during the day, can the rental at say, the Magic Kingdom, be transferred to Epcot without having to pay a new rental fee?

Hi, Herbert!  All you need to do if you are going to park hop is hold on to the receipt you get at your first theme park, and present that receipt at the ones you hop to.  As long as an Electronic Convenience Vehicle (ECV) is available, they will give you one.   You only have to pay once.

I have traveled often with someone needing an ECV, as both of my parents and my mother-in-law have visited with health issues.  If you are going during a busy time, I will warn you that they may not have an ECV available when you park hop.  We did on a couple of occasions run into situations where we had to wait for someone to return an ECV or a battery to be recharged.

Also, if your wife is going to rent one each day of your stay, it may save you a little bit of money to do a length of stay rental.  You pay up front for the number of days you want, then simply present your receipt when you arrive at the theme park.

    Have an absolutely magical vacation!
