I will be visiting Disney world in March with a wheelcahir. I am bringing my 2 kids 10yrs and 4yrs. I can walk for short distances but can not stand in a line for any length of time. Will they let me take my wheel chair through the line?

    Michelle,

When you arrive Disney, go to Guest Services at the first park you visit.  They will provide you with a Guest Assistance pass that will help in your situation.  (Most of the time it is not necessary when visibly in a wheelchair, but it's better to be safe and have the pass)

When you want to experience a ride or attraction, see the Cast Member at the entrance and they will direct you.  Some rides will already accommodate your chair, and others will require you to use a separate entrance.  Some attractions allow you to remain in your chair, while others will require you to transfer to the ride vehicle.  If a transfer is necessary you will be able to stay in your chair up until the transfer, and the Cast Members will have your chair waiting for you at the ride exit.

Also, keep in mind that there are reserved wheelchair viewing areas for parades and shows.  Pick up a map at the park entrance to see where these are located.

We've visited Disney with family in wheelchairs/ECVs on three separate occasions and have never encountered any problems at all.  Disney is a wonderfully accommodating place for you to visit.  Have a great vacation!
