We will be visiting Disney World in March (our 4th trip). We will be celebrating our sons 5th birthday. We also have a 12 years old daughter and would like to include something special or plan a special activity for her also. Any ideas?

    Hi Dana,

To answer your question, I've consulted the experts: my houseful of tweenage daughters (13 years old and 10 year old twins). Here are some of their ideas that would make a trip to Walt Disney World extra special for a preteen girl.

    - Have high tea at the Grand Floridian. Very grown up.
    - Get a manicure/pedicure at one of the WDW spas.
    - Go horseback riding at Fort Wilderness.
    - Rent a Sea Raycer at one of the waterfront resorts.
    - Spend the day shopping at Downtown Disney. Give her a special Disney Gift Card as "mad money."
    - Take a parasail flight from the Contemporary resort.
    - Take a tennis lesson at the Grand Floridian.
    - Spend an afternoon sampling different desserts in each of Epcot's World Showcase countries.
    - Go to a special show such as Cirque du Soleil.
    - Dine at a signature restaurant. My girls' favorite is Jiko.

I hope you all enjoy your family time together and your own special activities as well.
