Welcome to planDisney, Cara! We are glad you stopped by with your question.
I had the opportunity to visit Give Kids The World Village during a Night of a Million Lights event a couple of years ago. What an amazing place!! I'm so glad this wonderful place exists to support critically ill children and their families. I know many of my fellow planDisney panelists have volunteered there as well.
Strollers are available to rent in the theme parks and at
Disney Springs on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations for strollers are not available, and rental strollers cannot be removed from the location where they were rented. Check with your contact at Give Kids The World Village; my understanding is you will be given a Genie Wishes Pass that entitles you to a free single stroller or wheelchair in the parks each day of your visit. While of course I cannot guarantee the availability of a stroller, it would be extremely rare for strollers to be completely sold out on any given day. Walt Disney World Resort recently replaced its entire stroller fleet with new strollers
featuring adorable Mickey and Minnie designs. Keep in mind that the rental strollers are a molded cart style with no padding, and are best for toddlers or preschool-age children that can sit up well on their own.
If you think you might need a stroller at the airport or elsewhere outside of the theme parks, you may wish to bring your own. If it is not practical for you to bring your own stroller, there are many companies in the Orlando area that offer strollers, mobility devices, and baby equipment for rent. Many will deliver to your resort or hotel. A quick internet search will turn up several options. ScooterBug is one such company and is the Disney Featured Provider.
Cara, I am wishing you and your family a wonderful vacation. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. We are always happy to help.
