Stephanie,
A stroller rental is a real plus for a day at Walt Disney World with a little one! It keeps her energy level up when she does not have to walk everywhere, and it also means you don't have to carry her!
Wagons are not allowed in the parks, but I have a better solution for you. While Disney has it's own in-park stroller rentals, what I would suggest you do is visit the site for Disney's Featured Provider for stroller rentals. You will see information about them and a link to their site on the
Stroller Rental page, near the bottom. I just visited their site, and they not only show weight ratings, but they have at least one single seat stroller that would accommodate your granddaughter.
The real plus to this is that you will have the stroller not just when you are in the parks, but through the whole visit. For our family that was important. When we would stay out for fireworks or a nighttime parade at a park, on the trip back to our resort one or both of our daughters would fall asleep. Having that chair for them to sleep in was invaluable. It also helped back in the room, as we could transfer them to their beds without having to wake them up.
Disney has lots of suggestions for traveling with the younger set. Make sure you also visit the
Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones page as you plan your trip!
Write us back if you have other questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
