We are visiting Disney World this December 19 through 26. What suggestions do you have for dining on Christmas eve and Christmas day? Two adults and three children ages 22, 20 and 16. Are there any special holiday dinner events? Thank You

Hi, Linda!  To begin with, as soon as your 90 day advanced dining window opens up, get online or on the phone to book your dinner reservations for the holidays.  The restaurants get busy, and many will book up entirely.

For Christmas Eve this year, as we have in many years past, we are booking a Candlelight Procession dinner package at EPCOT.  The dinner package includes a meal at one of the many wonderful restaurants at EPCOT, priority entrance to one of the Candlelight Procession performances, and a special viewing area for Illuminations.  For us, this is an absolutely beautiful way to celebrate the Christmas season, as the show itself is a retelling of the story of the Nativity, enhanced by an amazing choir.  We have eaten at many of the restaurants, but if you have picky eaters, it's best to stick with places like Le Cellier, the Rose and Crown pub, the Coral Reef, or the Garden Grill.

If you are looking for something a bit more special on Christmas day, you could try the California Grill at the Contemporary Resort, Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian, or even one of my favorite Christmas locations, Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge.  Many of the restaurants have special holiday menus, and you can check out the menus from past years by visiting www.allears.net and searching for Christmas dining.

I hope you enjoy an absolutely magical holiday season at Walt Disney World.  I can't think of a better place to be on the happiest day of the year than at the happiest place on earth!
