Hello! We are visiting Disney World on August 28th-September 3rd. We planned on going to Typhoon Lagoon on August 31st but I wasn’t sure what type of ticket to get!

Hey there, Amanda! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

The end of August/beginning of September is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World Resort because the peak summer crowds are dwindling and many children are heading back to school.  Hopefully, you'll find that the Theme Parks aren't very busy and you're able to ride all your favorite attractions, see all the breathtaking shows and dine in some incredibly unique locations. Pretty soon you'll be 60 days away from your trip, which means it will be time to book those Advance Dining Reservations! I highly recommend checking out Space 220 Restaurant.  I ate here on my last trip and I'm very impatiently waiting for a chance to go again.  The food and the atmosphere were so totally out-of-this-world!

Spending a day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is an excellent choice, especially in the heat of the summer months! I still remember riding the waves in the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool on my very first trip to this Water Park!

If you haven't yet purchased your Theme Park Tickets you have a few options when it comes to finding some that let you and your party into both the Theme Parks and the Water Parks.  If you and your party want to visit only one Theme Park per day you would probably get the most out of a Water Park and Sports Option Ticket.  With this Ticket, you'll select the number of days you wish to visit the Theme Parks and be able to enter one Theme Park each day.  You'll also receive the same number of visits to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or one of the many Golf Courses or Miniature Golf Courses right on Disney property.

If you're looking to "Park Hop", which means visiting multiple Theme Parks in one day, (my favorite option!) you'll want to check out the Park Hopper Plus Option.  Just like with the previous Ticket, with this ticket, you'll be able to visit the Water Parks and Golf Courses a certain number of times based on the length of your Park Hopper Plus Option Ticket.

I hope you and your family enjoy all that the Theme Parks and Water Parks have to offer! Make sure to stop by Happy Landings Ice Cream and share a "Sand Pail" for me!!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
