We are visiting Disney World in April. Can you explain the procedure for getting on Rise of the Resistance? It seems so confusing. Thanks!

    Bright Suns, Jeff!

I am so excited for you and your upcoming visit! You are going to be blown away during your transport to the Planet of Batuu! Each time I visit, I discover new things in the intergalactic hideaway, so be prepared to join the Resistance when you visit!

Sorry about the confusion with the boarding groups for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Anytime you add a new planet to the mix, the universe has a blip in the Force! But, it looks like things are running smoothly now! So, here’s the breakdown:

    1. Arrive at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as EARly as possible.
    2. Once you touch your MagicBand to the Main Entrance touchpoints, the My Disney Experience app will register your physical presence in the Parks. (You do not need to be on the Planet of Batuu, just in the Park).
    3. As soon as the virtual queue opens, a screen will pop up on the Front Page of the app, asking you if you would like to join a boarding group.
    4. Accept the invitation, and you will be assigned a boarding group. (You can track current boarding groups via the app).
    5. Go and enjoy the rest of the Park! (Moms tip - head to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ASAP for a shorter wait time than further on in the day).
    6. Once your boarding group is ready, you will receive an alert via the app. The app will tell you to return by…such and such time. You generally have a two-hour window.
    7. Enjoy the most amazing attraction in the galaxy!

Jeff, if you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. ’Til the Spire!
