I am visiting Disney Theme parks for the first time next Feb 2013. My mother (65 years old) is not quite sure of going since she is Diabetic and thinks she will be very tired. Is there any kind of benches or rest areas where she can stay & wait for us?

Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World vacation, Ursula! February will be here before you know it! I am happy to tell you that there are benches located throughout all of the theme parks. There is a quaint little area in Magic Kingdom Park just off Main Street U.S.A. on the right side when facing Cinderella Castle that would be perfect for your mother to be able to stay should she feel she needs to sit down and wait for you. There are also first aid stations in all of the theme parks and water parks should your mother need to seek medical attention regarding her Diabetes. I definitely think your mother will still be able to enjoy the parades and firework displays in the theme parks even if all of the walking to each attraction becomes a problem. Wheelchairs and electric conveyance vehicles (ECVs) are available to rent to guests that require assistance in the Disney theme parks. Follow this link to learn more about wheelchair rentals. I hope this information helps! Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a Magical first trip, Ursula!
    Happy Planning,
