We are visiting Disney 9/27 - 10/2 - staying at the Polynesian. I called to make dining reservations 90 days in advance last week and there was no breakfast reservations available for Chef Mickey's that whole week - any chance that any will free up?

    Hi Amanda,

Chef Mickey's is one of the most popular breakfast venues in Walt Disney World but as you still have several months before your trip then the chances are there will be some cancellations. What I suggest you do is call Disney dining (407-939-3463) on a weekly basis to enquire, try calling later in the day rather than first thing as if I was to cancel a reservation I would pick a quieter time to call. You can also check for availability online, simply go to the Chef Mickey page on www.disneyworld.com and you'll see a button to book online, this is an easy way to check for reservations on a regular basis. If you're still unsuccessful you can ask Guest Services at your resort to check for last minute cancellations once you're in Disney.

Have you considered other character breakfasts? There is a great one at 'Ohana which is located in the Polynesian where you're staying. The characters present here at Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch and they have some cute parades for the children to join in with!

Hope you manage to get a reservation,

    Jo
