Hi! We are visiting Disney Springs and was wondering what is the best way to resort hop while we are there? Do we start at Disney Springs or is there select hotels we go to first to use disney transportation?

Hi Jamie! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

Disney Springs is such a perfect destination for a day date, some retail therapy, a delicious dinner or even a mind-blowing theatrical experience! My family and I always head to Disney Springs on our first night at Walt Disney World Resort. It's the perfect transition between the "real" world that we live in and the Disney World where we always want to be!

If you and your party are planning to take in all there is to do at Disney Springs as well as Resort hop to check out some of the many unique and fabulous Disney Resorts Collection hotels around the Disney property it sounds like you have a practically perfect day ahead of you! Since there is complimentary Disney transportation between the shopping, dining, and entertainment district of Disney Springs and the over 25 Disney Resorts you should have no trouble bouncing around the over 40 square miles of the Walt Disney World Resort.

Planning to park a car at Disney Springs? No problem! There is complimentary self-parking available in all parking lots and garages, and since it sounds like you're making a day of your tour you'll probably be there early and grab a great spot.

Since Resort hopping is a great way to check out some of Disney's grandest hotels you'll probably want to browse through a little bit of information about each of them and decide on a few that you just need to check out.  The "Panel Extras" section right on the planDisney website has resources like Disney Resort Hotel Pocket Guides that can help!

From Disney Springs you'll find that Disney transportation can whisk you away by both bus and boat to start your Resort hopping experience. A Water Taxi will float you down to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and French Quarter, as well as Disney's Old Key West Resort and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.  If you're hoping to get to other Resorts around the property simply hop on that Resort's bus! A bus to Disney's Beach Club Resort will allow you and your party to meander through the EPCOT Resort area while a bus to Disney's Contemporary Resort will drop you right on the Monorail loop where you can see all the Magic Kingdom Resorts.  It's all about your preference!

After deciding on where you want to stay for your next Walt Disney World vacation head back to Disney Springs for dinner, perhaps a show like Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque Du Soleil & Disney and to head back to your car.  It sounds like a perfect day to me!
