Hi, we will be visiting Disney for the very first time in March. I heard check-in is not until 3pm or so for resort hotels. Animal Kingdom opens at 9am the first day and we want to make opening. Can we check in around 8am or do we have to wait til 3pm?

Hi, Rebecca! Upon arriving, the first thing you will want to do is check-in at your Walt Disney World Resort. You can do this anytime on your arrival date.  Even if it is before the check-in time, you will go there to get your Key to the World card. It serves as your room key, park tickets, and dining card, if applicable. You will need it to get into the park and to use your Disney Dining Plan, if applicable.  Your room will probably not be ready if you check-in before the set time, but you can leave your bags with luggage services, and go enjoy the parks! Disney has a wonderful service that will call or text you to let you know when your room is ready. Then, with your Key to the World card in hand, you can begin your day of fun in the parks.  Happy planning and have a magical vacation!
