We will be visiting Disney for the first time in July. If you had to choose one place to eat for a special meal, which would it be. We have a 13, 10 and 8 year old children. Thanks Kim

Hi, Kim!  There are a bunch of us on the panel, and I think if you posed this question to each of us, you might just get a whole bunch of different answers!  It's hard to pick a spot, not knowing what kind of food your family likes or if you want a resort location or a theme park location, but I'll give you my top two dining experiences with my children.

'Ohana at the Polynesian resort is a very family friendly restaurant.  From the minute you walk into the restaurant, you are surrounded by "cousins", as 'Ohana means "family".  This is an all you can eat meal, where the food is brought to your table by a cousin carrying long skewers of grilled meats.  There is a ukulele player who strolls the restaurant, and games for the kids to play while you eat.  If you time it right, you might get to enjoy the Wishes Fireworks from the Magic Kingdom.

The other suggestion is more a choice of two than an actual suggestion, but you can consider either option for your family.  My girls LOVE Animal Kingdom, and two of their favorite restaurants on Walt Disney World property are Boma or Jiko, both restaurants at this resort.  Boma is an all you care to eat buffet, whereas Jiko is a sit down meal.  The food at both locations is among the best anywhere, but the atmosphere at the resort is unbeatable.  When you have finished your meal, the kids can go and sit around the fire outside to listen to the African story tellers or watch the animals on the savannah.  It's a great experience.

I hope you have a wonderful time, no matter where you find yourself dining!
