We are visiting Disney for the first time. I have a daughter who is 4 and a son who is 6. What are your recommendations for the Magic Kingdom (2 days) and Hollywood studios (1 day)? We are staying at the wilderness lodge.

    Scott,

    So there are a lot of great rides that both kids (and you) should enjoy. Here are a few that my 4 and 6 year olds have really enjoyed lately;

    Magic Kingdom
    Jungle Cruise
    The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
    Pirates of the Caribbean
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (? for your 4-year old)
    Peter Pan's Flight
    "it's a small world"
    Mickey's PhilharMagic
    Dumbo the Flying Elephant
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
    Snow White's Scary Adventure
    Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
    Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor

    Hollywood Studios
Star Tours (? for your 4-year old)
    Toy Story Mania!
    Fantasmic!
Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage
Disney Junior - Live on Stage
    Muppet Vision 3-D
    Voyage of the Little Mermaid

Now of course these are not the only rides or shows that would be good. Just an initial list of 'likely targets' for you to consider. Make sure to take in the parades and fireworks, if your schedule allows.

Let me know if there are others you are wondering about, or if you need some more advice on other attractions, dining, etc.

FYI, I am sure that while I am working away in Mason, OH, you will be having a great time at the Wilderness Lodge!

    Have a magical vacation!
