Visiting Disney for my daughter's 11th birthday the week of Feb. 20th. Wanted to make reservations at Chef Mickey's but reservation are not available... Does Chef Mickey allow for walk-ins? If so, would I risk standing in a very long line?

    Hi Ganell,

The week of Feb 20 has the potential to be quite crowded. Many school districts are out then for the President's Week holiday. This is why you are finding that all the reservations have been filled.

There are no tables specifically set aside for walk-ups at any Walt Disney World restaurant. You may get lucky if you arrive as a walk-up, or you may have to wait for a substantial amount of time (an hour or more), or you may simply be turned away because the entire restaurant is filled with guests with reservations.

If you would like to try dining as a walk-up, my suggestion is to arrive at the restaurant about half an hour BEFORE the first seating time. This means before 6:30 a.m. for breakfast or before 4:30 p.m. for lunch. Be super polite and friendly to the hostess. They will do what they can to work you in. I have personally had success with this strategy about 75% of the time, but there are certainly no guarantees.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
