Hi Moms, we will visiting in December for the holiday season and would like to attend the dessert party in the MK, how far in advance should I purchase the tickets? This would be our first time for this event and don't want to miss it.

    Hi Beth,

I absolutely love Walt Disney World during the holiday season!  It's hard to believe that it's even more magical, but somehow the gorgeous decorations, Christmas festivities and special treats around every corner make it true.  The Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party is truly a sweet way to end your day at Magic Kingdom.  It's probably not a surprise that the party is extremely popular, so you'll want to make your reservations just as soon as your preferred date becomes available.  Looking at the link above, reservations are currently being accepted 180 days in advance.  That means availability for your travel week should start opening up on June 17, 2014.  For the best chance at getting a date you want, I'd visit that site first thing in the morning at the 180-day mark (online reservations open at 6:00 a.m. EST).  You can also call (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463) to make your reservation by phone (starting at 7:00 a.m. EST).

Wishing you a most magical vacation, Beth!  Please let us know if we can help answer any other questions as you make your plans.
