We are visiting in December and my daughter just reminded me that we will be there for her birthday. She will be turning 9. We would like to go somewhere special for her birthday for dinner. However, traveling with extremely lucky eaters. Any advice?

    Hi Jamie,

Before I forget, please wish your wonderful daughter a Happy Birthday for me!

As a mom of my own picky eaters, I feel your pain!  I have an idea that might help you plan a special birthday celebration dinner:

I suggest a special meal at the laid-back and fun Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. This adorable blast-from-the-past is located just off of one of my favorite areas in all of Walt Disney World Resort, Stormalong Bay pool at Disney's Beach Club Resort.  Beaches & Cream is a smaller dining venue with only a few booths, maybe five or six tables, and then a soda counter. That makes the atmosphere really comfortable.  It's perfect for the pickiest eaters because the menu is not only tasty, but familiar. I think your daughter might love the excitement of ordering a Kitchen Sink Sundae. Not only is it so exciting to order the biggest ice cream that you have probably ever seen, there is a whole ritual of announcing the order! It's so fun!

Also, make sure that you tell a Cast Member at your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel that you are celebrating a birthday while on vacation.  They will provide your daughter with a celebration button to announce to everyone that it is her special day. I think she will love the well wishes from all around as she heads out for unforgettable adventures!

I hope that helps, Jamie!  Come back and visit us if we can help with any other questions!

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
