    I am visiting in Dec with my 8 yr daughter. In our past trips, AK has always closed before dark. This trip, it will be open until 8, with 1 night extra magic hours. What attractions are open in AK after dark?

    If you click HERE and scroll toward the end of the page, you'll see a list of attractions at the Animal Kingdom that will be open during evening extra magic hours. Like you, I had never been at the Animal Kingdom at night until last month. I was with most of the other Moms Panelists at the Expedition Everest 5K run and party which took place in the evening. We got to ride on EE in the dark. The entire experience was different. The atmosphere was spookier and the sensation of speed was enhanced when you couldn't see where you were going as clearly. During the day EE is awesome, at night it is super awesome freaky cool.
