We will be visiting between Dec. 31-Jan. 7 and are coming with another family. When booking our dining reservations will we be able to book for 10 people using the online service or should we book two tables of 5 and hope that we're seated together?

    Welcome to planDisney, Filomena!

How fun that you will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the holiday season!  The parks and resorts will be decked out in their holiday finest with gorgeous decorations everywhere you look.

There are so many wonderful dining experiences available at Walt Disney World Resort!  I can understand that securing dining reservations is an important part of your vacation experience.  Whether or not you'll be able to book a table for a party of 10 or will need to split your reservations into smaller groups will depend on the venue.  Some restaurants can easily accommodate larger parties and at others, you might have a hard time finding availability.  I would try searching for a party of 10, and if you aren't finding availability for that group size, try again with a smaller group.  You could try for two tables of 5 or perhaps groups of 4 and 6.  Keep in mind that the same person will not be able to hold two reservations at the same time -- you'll need to coordinate making multiple reservations with the family you'll be traveling with.  If you are the planner in the group and will be making all the dining reservations, you'll need to assign a different Guest from your Family & Friends List as the reservation contact when making more than one reservation in the same time slot.  Whoever you assign as the reservation contact will be the only person who will be able to modify or cancel the reservation.

Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance.  Guests staying at Disney Resorts Collection hotels and other select hotels can make dining reservations for the length of their stay, up to 10 days, 60 days in advance of their check-in date.  If you'll be staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, try searching for tables toward the end of your trip.  You may find better availability, as fewer Guests would have access to those dates.

If you do need to split your party into multiple groups, let the restaurant know when you arrive.  While not guaranteed, sometimes you will be able to be seated together or at nearby tables, depending on dining capacity at the time you arrive.

I hope that helps!  Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
