Hiya, Melissa!
I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney to discuss one of my favorite topics: celebrating birthdays at Walt Disney World Resort!
While in Magic Kingdom Park 'you leave today and enter the World of Yesterday, Tomorrow and Fantasy', EPCOT Terrans can travel through space and time aboard Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, and travellers to Batuu visit a galaxy far, far away, Guests of Walt Disney World Resort are still subject to the laws of the United States. All dining locations across Walt Disney World Resort strictly enforce the legal drinking age of 21 and will require a government-issued photo ID to verify the age of guests ordering alcoholic beverages. Unfortunately, this means your son will not be served until the day he turns 21. I'm sure this is not what he was hoping to hear, but I want to assure you both that
Oga's Cantina has some of the best
mocktails in the galaxy (I recommend the Cliff Dweller), and alcohol is not necessary to enjoy the atmosphere and tunes of DJ R-3X.
Happily, a visit to EPCOT on his birthday with proper identification will still allow him to enjoy an out-of-this-world cocktail.
Space 220 Lounge features space-inspired libations and delicious light bites that can be enjoyed alongside views 220 miles above Earth, and if his celebration occurs after June 4, you'll have the opportunity to check out EPCOT's newest lounge,
GEO-82, located inside Spaceship Earth. The
Disney Parks Blog just treated us to a sneak peek of the menu, and it looks like the perfect place for a birthday toast!
I hope this was helpful, Melissa, and that your family has an incredible time marking this magical milestone together. If you're in need of any additional suggestions for your celebration, don't hesitate to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Cheers to 21 years,
Lizzie
