Hi there, Sabrina, and welcome to planDisney! I’m so happy you’re here with this great question about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort! You’ll be arriving in just a couple of short months and you must be getting so excited!
Sabrina, it sounds like you’re ready to do some planning by booking
Advance Dining Reservations for your vacation. Did you know that you can make reservations 60 days in advance? If you’re staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you’ll be able to make reservations 60 days before the day you check in, for the length of your stay (up to 10 days). I recommend booking dining reservations as early as possible, knowing you can cancel them up to two hours beforehand. This will give you lots of flexibility as you solidify your vacation plans.
On the day you’re eligible, you’ll be able to log in to the
My Disney Experience Mobile App or website at 6:00 am to make dining reservations. Click on the ☰ icon at the bottom right corner of your app, then click on the box that says Reserve Dining. Choose your party size, date range, and desired time frame. You'll then be shown a list of available restaurants with suggested reservation times. Click on your preferred time, confirm any special requests, and double-check your contact information. Most reservations will require a credit card guarantee - you'll only be charged if you fail to cancel in accordance with the restaurant's policy. You won't have to use this credit card as your form of payment when you dine.
I’d love to share with you some of my favorite dining options for your consideration as you make your plans!
Sebastian’s Bistro at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort offers delicious Caribbean-inspired, all-you-care-to-eat fare. The aesthetic here is beautiful - light and airy like a beach house. It’s a refreshing escape!
Another option not in the Disney Theme Parks is
Sanaa, located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. Arrive early and spend some time overlooking the Savanna, where you’ll see giraffes, zebras, and many other kinds of animals grazing.
If you’re headed to Magic Kingdom, try to get a reservation to eat at
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen. The Servers have a great sense of humor (it’ll remind you of the
Jungle Cruise attraction) and the decor is gorgeous. Ask about the secret menu items!
Just in case you’re new to dining at Disney World, I’d love to remind you that you don’t need a reservation to dine at quick-service restaurants or lounges. Also, many dining locations offer a walk-up list that you can join from your phone when you’re nearby.
Sabrina, I hope this is helpful to you as you make your dining arrangements. If you’d like any other recommendations on where to find amazing meals, snacks, and drinks, you have a friend in me! Please stop back by with any other questions you have!
Bon appetit!
Jennifer
