We are visiting Christmas 2013 & will be celebrating my birthday while we are there - I was hoping to have at least one grown up night out - Do we have to be staying in a Disney Hotel to use the Activity Centres and/or the in-room baby-sitting service?

Hi Sarah! So many people mistakenly think Walt Disney World is just for kids, so I'm glad you know there's lots of fun for grown-ups at Disney too!

You do not need to be a guest of a particular resort to use its Children's Activity Center; anyone is welcome to make a reservation at one of Disney's fun childcare clubs. Kids ages 3 to 12 can check into one of the Centers located in the Polynesian, Beach Club, Dolphin, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Wilderness Lodge resorts. The hourly rate per child includes dinner. Most of the child care centers are generally open from 4:30 pm to midnight. For more information or to reserve spots for your children, call 407-939-3463.

In-room babysitting at Disney World is provided by independent agency Kid's Nite Out, which provides sitters in many hotels throughout Orlando. I recommend you visit their website at KidsNiteOut.com or call them to see if they provide sitters to the off-site location where you're staying.

Hope you have a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
