We will be visiting with a child who has anaphylactic allergies. In order to keep her safe from harm, she can only eat food that we have prepared for her. If we (parents) are eating at a restaurant, can we bring her food in with us for her to eat there?

Hi Lynette! Guests who suffer from food allergies are permitted to bring food, epi-pens and medications with them into the Disney parks, so you're welcome to bring special food for your daughter to eat. (The restaurants are not allowed, however, to store, reheat, or prepare food brought in by guests.)

Walt Disney World is very accommodating of guests with food allergies. I recommend that you review the information on Special Dietary Requests at Disney by clicking here. The restaurants are able to prepare meals free of common allergens such as nuts, gluten, soy, fish, eggs, dairy, etc. Guests with multiple allergies can contact the Special Diets department, which will notify the chefs at the restaurants in which you plan to dine of the allergies so they'll be prepared to accommodate them. This department can also email you a packet of information about the allergy-free foods available throughout Walt Disney World. You may want to explore this possibility.

Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
