    Hi, We will be visiting Blizzard Beach. Our daughter is 7 so we will want to be near the ski patrol area. Are there shaded areas around here? Also can you recommend good shaded areas? We are not interested in renting a cabana. Thanks!

    Hi Lisa,

    My family spent many hours in the Ski Patrol Training Camp during our visits to Disney's Blizzard Beach. This area is a great combination of slides, rope activities and plunging into the water. Watching the girls maneuver the obstacles while we sat in the water was relaxing and memory making.

    If you want shade by Ski Patrol Training Camp, look near I.C. Expeditions and the lockers. This should allow you to see your daughter and be out of the sun.

    We generally find shade over by Melt-Away Bay. This large swimming area is centrally located to food and most attractions.

    You want to arrive to the park early to get the best shady spots. We generally arrive at park opening and stay until the late afternoon.
