We are visiting Aulani in a few days. Is there almond milk available at the resort? Is it better to use the taxi service for a large family or rent a car? There will be 6 adults and 2 children.

Hi, Coretta! How very exciting to be planning a trip to Aulani - a Disney Resort and Spa on the beautiful island of O'ahu. I hope you have an amazing trip.

Kalepa's Store, which is located just off the lobby in the 'Ewa Tower side of the resort, is where you would usually go for quick groceries or sundries. I checked in with them today to see if they had almond milk available, but they only carry soy milk at this time (in addition to regular cow's milk). But no worries. Right across the street from Aulani is an ABC store called Island Country Markets. The front desk at Aulani made a quick phone call over to the store for me (Mahalo, Joanne from Aulani!), and they DO have almond milk, They carry it in the shelf stable boxes, so you'll be able to pick some up when you get there.

It has been my experience in talking with families of all sizes that Aulani parking and transportation can be expensive. If you don't think you'll need a rental, reach out to Hele Hele Shuttle, which can be booked as part of your Aulani travel package, by calling 866-443-4763. Their current rates are $24 per person for the shuttle from the airport to Aulani. They also do private cars as opposed to the shared shuttles. Another option is an Aulani partner, Charley's Taxi. They do flat rate transportation from the airport, starting at $55.

If you find you need a rental car after you've already arrived at Aulani, there is an Alamo rental counter right at the resort.

    Happy planning, Coretta!
