Hello! We're visiting August 2022 but are only spending a few days at Disney :( at MK and HS - when would you advise we buy our tickets and reserve our days? I wouldn't want to leave it too long in case the parks reach capacity. Thanks in advance!

Hello there, Lisa! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your future vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!

I understand your bittersweet concern regarding your shortened stay next year! I’m always a little bummed out whenever my family and I don’t get our “full time” at Walt Disney World Resort as well. Fortunately, though, you will still have quite a bit of time to create many magical memories at both the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Typically, I recommend reserving your stay as early as possible once you have verified your travel dates! This gives you the chance to pick out exactly what you like when there is the most availability. It currently looks as though you can go ahead and select your theme park reservations for August 2022. If you would like, you are certainly welcome to go ahead and make your selections! However, it would also be perfectly fine for you to wait. I generally suggest waiting no longer than six months prior to your arrival to solidify your plans so you have a good bit of time if you would like to wait!

I would also recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any announcements regarding limited-time events during your anticipated travel dates, though! This can sometimes impact availability if Guests are wanting to get into the parks for exclusive offerings!

I hope this information assists you as you continue to plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort next summer! Be sure to reach back out if we can answer any other questions for you!
