Hello, I am visiting in April with a 16 y.o and a 6 y.o. We'll do Hollywood St. plus one other park (not magic kingdom). Which do you recommend between Epcot and Animal Kingdom? Which has more rides / or is less packed? Thanks!

Hey there, Laura! Welcome to planDisney!

I bet you can't wait to get to The Most Magical Place on Earth in just a few weeks! I, too, have children with quite a wide range of ages between them, so I know that sometimes it's difficult to please everyone at the same time.  However, there isn't a better place in the world to try!  When Walt Disney created Walt Disney World Resort he did so with families in mind, and we always find ways to have fun all together.

Disney's Hollywood Studios is definitely a great place to start!  Between Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, and the fabulously themed streets and restaurants, you'll have a jam-packed day full of fun.  If you can, try to snag a reservation at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant.  You'll get to eat in retro cars and pretend you're really out for a night at the Drive-In! Even picky eaters love the food and everyone is sure to enjoy the entertainment.

While I love your other two choices of Parks, my personal preference does tend to lean toward EPCOT.  If you only have time to visit one, there is no better time of year than now to pop into EPCOT and enjoy the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Between delicious bites and treats to try, the perfectly tended topiaries, and magical extras like Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration scavenger hunt, even without rides and attractions, there is more than enough to do!

That's not to say you won't be kept busy with rides though! Check out Test Track, Mission: SPACE, Frozen Ever After and the brand-new Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, just to name a few!  And don't forget about classics like Spaceship Earth (the big beautiful ball)!  With all there is to do during the day, you'll want to make sure to sugar the little one up before bedtime, as they'll definitely want to be awake to see EPCOT's new nighttime spectacular, Harmonious.  While Disney's Animal Kingdom is also a solid choice, if you're looking to end your night with the "bang" of fireworks, EPCOT is where you'll want to be!

Laura, if this doesn't sound like the perfect destination for you and the kids, please come back and let us share more about Disney's Animal Kingdom with you! Have a magical trip!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
