I love using
complimentary transportation while I'm at the parks and resorts, but the combinations and schedules can be complex. My first tip is to use your
My Disney Experience mobile app for route suggestions between any two destinations. Begin by tapping the location pin icon at the bottom of the app screen, then type or select your destination. The app will show you available options and travel times based on available transportation in real time. It's a handy-dandy tool!
To confirm details about late-night transportation, I reached out to a friendly Cast Member named Bonnie. She said that bus service from
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park typically stops running around the time Animal Kingdom closes. But I have some alternative ideas.
You can take the
monorail to the Magic Kingdom Park entrance and head to the bus depot. Signage will direct you to the bus leaving for Animal Kingdom, and those buses typically run until about an hour after the last park closes.
For example, if Magic Kingdom closes at 10 PM, bus service to the other parks will run until around 11 PM. You can
review the park calendar for event times and park hours to help plan your evening. Please note that the
Electrical Water Pageant runs twice on some evenings, and seeing the earlier show might give you more wiggle room!
Bonnie also mentioned that bus service tends to run less frequently late at night, so another option is to use a rideshare service to return to Animal Kingdom. The parking lot gates typically stay open to give guests the chance to retrieve their vehicles if they've park hopped that day. While rideshares aren't free, they often provide the quickest option.
