    We will be visiting AK on July 9th is Trails End to far away for dinner? If so could you reccomend some place else? I have two girls who are pickey eaters. Thanks again

    Trail's End is probably about as far away from the Animal Kingdom park as you can get on Disney property. While I like it,  I would try one of the following closer locations;

    1. Tusker House. This buffet restaurant in the Animal Kingdom park has VERY good food, including both classic choices (good for those picky eaters you mentioned!), but also some great African-inspired selections that make it a very appetizing option!
    2. Boma. This buffet restaurant in the nearby Animal Kingdom Lodge was the inspiration for Tusker House. For you Tusker House is better, since it requires no transportation, but I mention it because it is a personal favorite.
    3. Yak and Yeti. Located in the Animal Kingdom park, this is a very good table service choice, with Asian-inspired entrees, but maybe not as kid-friendly as you may like.
    So if you look at the menus of these restaurants and still feel that they are too exotic for your girls, you can go to the Rainforest Cafe that is located at the Animal Kingdom park gate. It is not my first recommendation, but it is has American standards, and is certainly not bad.

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
