Hi, when I visited last year the Minnie-Van service had just started and it was a flat fee and no tip required (of course we still gave). I've read that the fee has dramatically increased and tip is now required- is this true?

    Hi, Ann Marie!

My family really loves the Minnie Van Service for going between resorts, especially when we have dining reservations. It's so convenient when you're getting dressed up for an evening out to just pop onto your Lyft app on your phone, and in just a short time, have a vehicle at your disposal.

The Minnie Van has dropped it's flat fee. The cost of the service runs much like most taxi services - there is a base fee of $15, then a price per mile. Currently, the cost per mile is about $2.75. That means just about the longest trip between any two places at Walt Disney World will be about $40, with most trips being in the $25 range.

Tipping is never required. It is certainly optional to tip for good service.

I think the advantage of the Minnie Van over other taxis or ride sharing services is really felt for families that need car seats or accessibility. The vans offer both of those options.

Did you know you can also use Minnie Vans to and from the Orlando International Airport? That can be a real time saver if you're trying to get right to the theme parks or a dinner reservation as soon as you land. The service is currently $150.

Wishing you the most magical trip, Ann Marie!
