I have visited Disney World lots of times, and often wondered how people get "chosen" to ride in a parade. We have a trip planned in June and I thought it would be awesome to be a part ot a real parade!

You and my friend Laura from the Moms Panel should get together. She's been pestering (in a good way) the cast members at Disney to let us be in a parade, but we haven't had any luck with this yet.

But really, there is no secret trick to getting chosen to be in a parade or to do any of the other magical special experiences at WDW. It really is all just random. You have to be in the right place at the right time and there's no way to predict what that right place or time will be.

My oldest daughter seems to have the magic touch when it comes to Disney. Over the years she has been randomly chosen to wave the wand to open Fantasyland, she lead the dessert parade at the Polynesian Luau, she got to ride on Dumbo with Minnie Mouse and on the Barnstormer with Goofy, she "drove" a Jungle cruise boat, and she lead the band at the Biergarten in Germany. No one else in our family has ever been picked to do anything special while in the parks. Who knows, maybe you could have the magic touch too.
