We're going to visit WDW with an infant during August. During the time Disney's Pop Century Resort is undergoing refurbishments. Would you recommend us to stay there, or should we pick something else like All Star Movie Resort?

    Dear Gloria,

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about Disney's Pop Century Resort!

I totally understand your concern about staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel while refurbishment is ongoing. It's a very personal decision for your family of course, but it depends on your needs. If you don't plan on staying in your room or at the resort very much, it shouldn't affect you at all because the work is only ongoing during the daytime hours when the majority of guests are at the parks. I recently stayed at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, which is also undergoing refurbishment, and it was really not a problem at all. It was extremely peaceful.

Additionally, the Cast Members who plan out the room assignments are very conscientious about keeping guests comfortable and happy, away from construction zones as much as possible. They really want every family to have the same magical time!

However, if your family plans on spending a lot of time during the day inside of your room, you may have more of a concern with noise and that might prompt you to consider a different resort. If you wish to change resorts, it would be better to call sooner rather than later to ensure that you have the greatest choice of rooms and resorts.

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
