Hi - when we visit WDW from Dec 30 to Jan 3, we are planning to enjoy the Cirque dSoleil show on New Years Eve - following the show, will there any fireworks to enjoy in the downtown disney area?

Hi Sharon! The schedule of events for NewYear's Eve has not yet been posted, but I can provide you with a bit of information based on last year. Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba is an amazing show! Last year, guests for the two New Year's Eve shows received a special, limited edition trading pin. In addition, there was a special New Year's finale. There were not fireworks at Downtown Disney, but there was a special ticket party at DisneyQuest, complete with a DJ for dancing.

Last year the Magic Kingdom was open until 2 am, and fireworks started at 11:50 pm. If you're not going to a theme park that day, you might want to head to a nearby location to view them. The beaches at the Polynesian Resort and Fort Wilderness are two of our favourite spots.

    Hope this helps Sharon!
