Susan,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
If you are hoping to drive to a resort to view their decorations, they would require a dining reservation before letting you park. But certainly, you are OK making your way to different resorts using Disney Resort Transportation to do the same. On my last family trip, my eldest daughter and I did exactly what you are suggesting here, visiting several different hotel lobbies to take in their themes and experience their different worlds.
If you are going to be at
EPCOT, there are a few routes you can take to easily get to a few different hotels.
Be International! If you use the EPCOT International Gateway, back by the England pavilion, you can walk to
Disney's Beach Club Resort,
Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and
Disney's BoardWalk Inn. You can also hop on the
Disney Skyliner and jet off to several resorts, including
Disney's Riviera Resort.
See the Future! From the other end of EPCOT, you could monorail to the Magic Kingdom area resorts of
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort,
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and
Disney's Contemporary Resort. You could even boat from there to see the Fort Wilderness area and
Disney's Fort Wilderness Lodge.
Buses could take you to any of the resorts, but these two routes get you to many of the highlights with a minimum of travel time and effort.
Please feel free to
write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.
Have a Magical Vacation!
