Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Macie! Congratulations on your
very first trip to Walt Disney World!
I remember when we first took our kids to Walt Disney World. My daughter was two and our son was just a few months old. We picked up First Visit buttons and my daughter sported that proudly on her outfits each day. We even pinned one to my son's baby carrier and stroller! My daughter adored the attention she got from the Cast Members and Disney characters, so it made the trip all the more magical. When Mickey pointed to her button and started clapping for her, she was thrilled! Nine years later, she still has that button pinned up on her bulletin board in her room.
These days, since it's not our first visit, we do pick up special buttons when we're celebrating. The birthday buttons and anniversary buttons also draw lots of extra attention from Cast Members, and even other guests have stopped to wish us happy birthday! Recently, we took my mother-in-law for her birthday and got her a birthday button. She had never really realized how magical Disney could be until she was wished happy birthday by everyone from Cast Members to Disney characters. Even other guests who passed by wished her a happy birthday, using her name, since it was written right on her button. What a magical experience! Disney really does know how to make each guest feel special!
You can pick up the free First Visit buttons and other celebrations buttons from your
Disney resort as you check in, or at
Guest Relations at any of the Disney Parks or Disney Springs. Have a really great trip, Macie!
